I am currently working at the Texas Tribune as Art & Multimedia director. I manage a team of designers and multimedia producers for the creation of daily content.
Some of my responsibilities include: daily photography, multimedia, illustration and interactive projects, information graphics for reporting; photography assignments and curation for our partnership with The New York Times; marketing and promotion of events and membership campaigns.
The New York Times
The Texas Tribune publishes in The New York Times two times a week. One of my crucial responsibilities at The Tribune is assigning and curating photography for assignments that get published.
The Texas Tribune Festival
Annually the Tribune hosts a conference with a variety of topic related to election or recent Texas laws that have been passed. All branding for print, web and multimedia event production is handled by myself and my team. The event is a day and a half with over 120 speakers and this year over 2000 attendees came to the festival. This includes programs, ad campaigns, web design, print program, signage, photo and video coverage at the event.
hile at Youth InterACTIVE I created logos and identities for various programs, websites and other marketing materials for the organization initiatives of youth health and education. I also managed a team of photographers and video producers documenting regular after school programs hosted by Youth InterACTIVE. Youth InterACTIVE is now ACTIVE Life.
Web & Design
Over the years through personal freelance I have created a variety of logos and websites for a wide range of clients. I mostly code HTML by hand and also use flash.
recently worked on an interactive kiosk for Adidas. Adidas promoted a new shoe line by Derrick Rose (one of the fastest players in the NBA). The entire display was a touchscreen television and when activated, you had 30 seconds to tap any many Derrick Rose's as you could as he popped up across the court. The highest scores even got a free pair of shoes signed by Derrick Rose.
